Properties:
It is colorless transparent and flowing oily liquid.Boiling point is 125℃/1.6Kpa, relative density (D420) is 0.97. The pure product has special odor, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents.It is weak acid.It can be reacted wit heavy metals, and generates water-insoluble heavy metal salt.It can oxidation into disulfide, and reduce to 2-ethylhexyl thioglycolate by reducing agent.
